The Border Green Festival, 4th July 2010 is hosting its first Carnival!

The Carnival provides opportunities for the local community to be inspired and get involved in Brazilian dance and costume. Our local migrant community wanted to develop positive links with other members of the local community, and Think Make Grow Ltd have developed the project with them and the Border Green Festival (Berwick Community Development Trust).

With the benefit of an Awards for All grant it has been possible to organise Brazilian dance, costume and make-up workshops in local schools and  with community groups. They are also encouraging any dance or performance groups to apply to form a 'block' in the Carnival, please email Think Make Grow if you are interested in being part of this.
